Merge Records

Overview

Merges up to three records into one primary record, deletes the others, and re-parents any related records.

This action merges field values with the precedent order of Primary Record, Duplicate Record 1, and then Duplicate Record 2.

This action respects user permissions. It requires the user to have the delete permission on the duplicate records and update permission on the primary record.

Merge only works with Lead, Contact, Case, or Account records.

Inputs

Primary Record

The record that remains after the merge operation is complete. Field values from the duplicate values are merged to this record if they are populated on the duplicate records, but blank on this record. This record becomes the new parent of re-parented child records.

A record collection of duplicate records to merge in to the primary record. This collection can not contain more than two records.
